Dining Out

If the kitchen isn't your favourite room in the house you'll be pleased to know there are plenty of hotels nearby to satisfy your hunger. All of these local watering holes are within 15 minutes easy drive of The Poor House. For a very modest charge we are happy to taxi small groups to and from any one of these venues.

Skinnet Beach

Talmine Stores is 6 miles away, across the causeway in the crofting community of Melness. If you are over there enjoying the hospitality offered at The Craggan Hotel or enjoying a walk along Skinnet beach, pop in and say "Hi!" to Tommy. You'll be surprised at the variety of goods on the shelves.
